Inspect and test
We review the moisture location, visible glass edge, trims, previous work and conditions in which the leak appears.
Water around the headlining, A-pillars, dashboard or footwells may be entering through a failed windscreen bond—but the source should be confirmed before repair.
A windscreen can leak when its adhesive bond, primer adhesion or preparation has failed. Water may enter behind the top or side of the glass and travel through hidden trim before becoming visible elsewhere inside the vehicle.
Similar symptoms can also be caused by sunroof drains, roof seams, aerials, roof fittings, door seals or body repairs. A controlled inspection helps establish whether the bonded windscreen is responsible.
If the original bond or primer adhesion has failed, applying sealant around the outside may only hide the symptom temporarily and can complicate future glass removal.

If the windscreen bond is confirmed as the source, removing the glass may be necessary to expose the failed bonding area.
Suitable glass can be refitted after the aperture and bonding surfaces are correctly prepared with the appropriate primer and adhesive system.
Some Land Rover-based vehicles can suffer failure around the top windscreen bond or primer adhesion.

Water can travel behind the headlining, pillar trims and dashboard before reaching a visible point inside the vehicle.
That depends on its condition, specification and whether it can be removed intact. Intact removal cannot be guaranteed.
Yes. Roof seams, drainage systems, aerials, fittings, door seals and previous body repairs can create similar symptoms.
